C= 70-79%
D= 60-69
F= 59% & below
Assignment Information
If your student is absent from school, I will give them time to make-up their missing work. The student is responsible for coming to me and getting the assignment.
If a student receives a low grade on an assignment, I may allow them to redo the work. They simply need to come and discuss it with me. If they are willing to put in the effort - I will be more that happy to help them improve their grade!
Student who have missing work will not be allowed to have our weekly, "pickle time! They will need to "ketchup" instead (see below).
Homework Policy
During most school days, student will have approximately 30 minutes to work on homework. Generally homework should not require more than 30-60 minutes. Please let me know if your child is regularly having more than one hour, because this indicates we need to talk. I believe that homework is a great way for students to practice what we have been learning at school.
Homework should come home in the Homework Folder to help keep the student organized. The folder should return with the student each school day.
Take Home Folders
Every day your child will come home with a Take Home folder. The left-hand side of the folder will contain any papers that are to be reviewed by parents, but then "Take Home". The right-side of the folder will contain papers that need signed and returned "Homework/Return to School" to school. Students should bring back the folder each day to school.
Planners
Each day, there is time given for your student to record any homework they may have in their planner. Please review the planner nightly with your child as I may write notes home occasionally in this space. Also, please feel free to use the notes section to communicate with me.
Planners are to be returned the next morning with a parent or guardian’s full signature on it. Only sign for one day at a time. Please do not sign ahead.
Snack
The students will have snack time each day. Please send a snack for your child if you wish!
